  26.      I too saw the 4000 Tuesday in Boston, and yes, there are Lots of
  27. new effects, and lots of interesting additions, BUT...I didn't see
  28. enough to make me change from my 2000 AT THIS TIME (for example; the
  29. unit I saw used the identical Toaster paint I have, that is to say
  30. pretty lame...). If I was just starting out, obviously the 4000 is
  31. the way to go. If I had a much larger budget than I have I might
  32. consider it. But I have a small budget, and already have a 2.0. I am
  33. looking forward to 3.0, which I understand has many of the same
  34. effects as the 4000. Which brings me to a question:
  35.      I am not (YET) using Lightwave for animations, basically because
  36. I lack a SFC VCR (or the money to get one...), but I am using LW to
  37. make wonderful single frame backgrounds for titles, keying for live
  38. performers, etc. One major problem I have is lack of storage space. I
  39. will be upgrading my HD this summer, and adding a Syquest. Assuming
  40. for the moment that 3.0 does NOT come on a CD-Rom or Syquest cart, How
  41. much disk space will 3.0 take? Also, has anyone tried the new 105 Meg
  42. Syquest? Impressions?
